Hi! I recently completed my Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University, specializing in Child Health. My lived experience with disabilities has deeply shaped my passion for advocacy, accessibility, and community connection. I first joined Disable the Difference as a volunteer and now have the privilege of working on both the client and volunteer-facing sides of the organization. I’m dedicated to helping create spaces where individuals of all abilities feel seen, supported, and empowered, and I look forward to continuing to grow alongside this incredible community!

Vikita Mehta

Co-Founder & Co-Director

Hi! I am a Psychiatry Resident Doctor at the University of Toronto. I have worked with youth and adults with disabilities for multiple years at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Camp Kennebec, and I greatly enjoy learning from individuals of all abilities and backgrounds. Inclusive and accessible education is also a passion of mine. I hope to continue to connect with more families and advocates as our community at Disable the Difference grows!

Mira Bhattacharya

Hi! I am a student at York University, pursuing a specialized honors degree in Cognitive Science. Having worked with youth and adults with disabilities for over 5 years under Best Buddies Canada, as well as adult respite centers, I have a passion for working with folks of all abilities and backgrounds. I look forward to interacting with our growing Disable the Difference community.
